It was cool and wet packing up at 5.45, after returning the cherry tomatoes (see last blog), on the road by 7am, one large hill to climb, noting the English vineyards of the RATHFINNY WINE ESTATE followed by the first view of English channel.

Down to the promenade at Seaford and on to the ferry port at newhaven. Very efficent check in. Passport and vaccine papers to see, a quick rummage in one bag, then park up and sit in the warm passenger lounge to use the last of English coins in the coffee and snack vending machines…all but 15p I left for someone.
