Nice lazy start to the day, left at 10am ish after having a good long chat to a man about his bike and his touring trips.

Farm had fresh eggs for sale, so an omelette for breakfast was nice with other 3 eggs hardboiled for later.

A nice pootle through the sun saw a pause at the yew tree inn for a pint. Helped a bunch of other cyclists who doing the same route to Paris(but much faster) who where getting the afternoon ferry….cutting it a bit fine as they where still waiting for lunch when I left.

I on the other hand booked into The Star at Alfriston , a rather posh hotel for a supreme Sunday lunch.

A short ride up to the campsite where I pitched my tent…..wish I had put it somewhere else when the nearby occupants returned….I was trying to get some rest and they where flinging a tennis ball for a diddy dog right by my tent, of course the owners did not appreciate it when told the effing thing to bugger off when the ball and dog rolled under my outer tent.

They decided to be adults and then flung cherry tomatoes I discovered next morning… well I returned them at 6am on the windscreen of the ‘pimped’ vw camper….

To top it off the next camped started its heater at 10pm….still going at 6am…not quite.

Nice day somewhat ruined by two sets of people,grrr.
