So after getting settled in the mercure hotel in cergy, bike safely locked away on underground car park, in a locked garage. All the laundry done in the sink and hung up on the laundry line I rigged in room. Nipped down to the 10min away train station and went ‘la defence’ don’t think I have been there in 20yrs…it’s the buisness district….boring you say….

Well it’s got ‘Le grand arch’ one of the most ballsiest buildings around…well if you ignore the pompindu centre.

After that into the local Westfield shopping ctr to a ‘hippopotamus’ resteraunt for a fine steak meal.

After a good sleep back into Paris on the Sunday…first task to pick up a new kindle from a amazon locker south of the river.

Amazingly I manage to navigate the French amazon app and use it to grab it from its locker. Then a wander to the “gardin Luxembourg’ where it was good to see a member of the UKRANIAN first fleet on the pond..

There where some natty remote contol yacht’s and a remote contol duck.

Then took a long walk over to the Eiffel tower where I had a ticket for 2nd floor

There are several hundred people trying to flog crap at the bottom, plastic replicas in multi colours , shitty hats and shitty shades…some people must buy the crap….strange thing is it must all come out of the same factory as it’s identical…oh and little wooden trains……..

Then layd out in the gardens opposite for a bit and went on to arc du triomph before train back and a Maccies in the room.
