So plan was to hit the road early ish and make my way to l’isle jordain….as I was leaving the campsite guardian said that camp in l’isle jordain….is ferme. A quick check on the phone indicated it is cabins only….but a campsite was 5km north in the small village of moussac…..a cunning deviation point added only 2km….all good.
It’s now a few days since this journey so can’t recall details so here’s some photos. But it was a hot windlass day…over 30deg C by the afternoon. Gently rolling hills to start with.
Day ended with a steep decent to the river vienne, this is a major tributary of the loire and flows south to north…
The campsite was prefect found a spot with shade for the tent by the river.
Lovely little toilet block…with great shower….decided to stay 2 night and chill especially given forecast of thunder.

It was a WET start next day….so had a long lie….only getting up when the Guardian came looking for cash…10.44 for 2nights.
I had planned to go to village bar tabac for lunch…..but disaster….ferme till later in summer…. so it was cook some rice and onions.
For most the day background noise of motor racing from the val de vienne circuit nearly 15km away could be heard, sound bouncing up the Valley.
A shop selling wine and beer opened at 1530…so a second walk back to the village….the shop ran my a very jolly man…it was only 1 month old…he sorted me with 2 cold bottles of beer and a bottle of rose(campsite had a free to use fridge to chill it….so I did and chilled all eve.
