Late start this morning as wanted to go down a cave nearby and it only opened at 10am…

So after the very pleasent campsite last night where I had a lovely swim it was off again.

It did not take long to reach the cave as only 5km away…

Bit of sad story it was discovered in Jan 1995 by a young French man after swimming through underground river…he came back the next week with freinds and went back in, sadly he and a colleague drowned on way back out.

His parents persuaded the village to develop and open to the public, they first drilled 2 bores down, one with ladder and other as vent. Then fitted a lift and 300mtrs of cave where fitted with catwalk and lighting. This cave is unlike the others in region that it has active underground river flowing through it.

As I was first down and on my own with audio guide got to experience it with no extra human noise . .very atmospheric.

After that it was on the bike for a very enjoyable ride through the countryside, hower by the end of the day when I had the last climb to the campsite I was knackered and legs no power. The climbs and decent where large.

The campsite was located at the upper end of a small side valley, it was very peacefull. After arrival I decided to stay too nights. As the owner gas a small resteraunt decided after swim in goid pool that is what I would do.

Next day was wet most of day…on and off so mainly read and rested. But went for a look about above the site after dinner.
