Early start as wanted to get to the tourist hot spot of brantome in time for 11am boat trip. Again straight off was a stiff climb but after that the d675 was an excellent road…Smooth , wide and little traffic. Some open and some wooded areas.

Soon arrived in brantome…it was about 20km there. Lovely village with an abbey and plenty of intresting building. At 11am joined an electric boat trip with about 40 others and enjoyed a pleasent hour….the river is so clean.

Then it was lunch had at a bistro, and rather good it was too, I had confit duck followed by a cheese board

Then it was continuing on through a string of smallvillages befire pulling into camp at tourtoirac. Campsite love ly and quite, had a good pool for swim and very freindly cat.
